Airbnb Rev Par Is Down 5% in the Last Year

A single tweet was read over 30 million times about Airbnb Rev par being down something like 30 to 50 percent depending on market. The source data for that tweet comes from a company called All the Rooms, which I bet has not only a smaller data set of Airbnb hosts using it, but a poor data set. If they are overweighted with poor quality host and poor properties, then it makes sense that their data set would show drops of data. And probably the biggest takeaway from today's episode is look at the source data, critique it, validate it, understand where it's coming from, how biased is it?
