Are There Patterns in the Increase in Pedestrian Traffic Fatalities?

There's been a recent increase in pedestrian traffic fatalities. What are the factors of the cityscape or maybe demographic or social factors that seem to be correlated with these pedestrian fatality hotspots? I think no doubt that if you're hit at something in your chest versus in your legs, your vital organs in your chest are going to be more impacted by that,. We believe our fatalities, particularly in darkness because 90% of the increase in pedestrian fatalities from 2009 to 2018 occurred in darkness. TNCs come onto the scene and then as the economy recovers, it is difficult to measure but we believe increases in distraction that are hard to measure.
