Pippin's Worry About Mary Dying
Pippin is worried about Mary's health in this chapter. Erichorn looks worse than he did when Gandalf and Pippin first saw him earlier. I wonder if that's because Pippin has actually experienced death up close and personally recently. He was very, very recently indeed. Or tried to kill Fairmearn and took his own life. Right. When Denithor turns into a Krispy Kritter, it's a little bit difficult for Pippin in so many ways, right? Yeah. Well, we sort of kind of have to in some ways.
