Active Inference Planning
In active inference, the planning comes from uncertainty minimization. This is essentially a way of sampling the world that allows you to trade off between both your extrinsic and intrinsic imperatives. Whereas when you take out the intrinsic imperative, you're left with reinforcement learning. But I think conceptually, they're different in the planning objective, but from the types of models, from a model based setting, they become very equivalent.
