The Disadvantages of Affirmative Action

Thomas has gone on the record numerous times outside of court opinions complaining about affirmative action. He has argued that the quote, stigmatizing effects of affirmative action put him at a huge disadvantage when he was trying to find a work as a lawyer. Within eight years of graduating from law school, at the age of 34, he was the head of one of the most prominent federal agencies in the country.
