I was studying network theory and how it applied in politics. I joined my brother over at Buzzfeed to study virality there. We wanted to see how content spreads across the internet. Is it one person sharing to another, or is it being broadcasted out just by kind of big Twitter sites? It turns out it's a bit of a mixture between the two. And so we could try to leverage our understanding of how the depth of this sharing went to generate more viral content.
