Prisons in the US cost over $100 billion a year. California built more prisons in the 80s and 90s than it did in the prior 100 years before that. In New York, the NYPD budget is around four to five times what my country has on a yearly basis. And like I said, big powerful people like Barack Obama will treat abolitionists and activists, you know, who are on the ground as naive motherfucks.
