The heinousness of our sin is not mainly the harm it does, but the lies it spews about God. We have a world that has an ethic which is basically rooted in whatever makes me happy. The Bible's ethic is best summarized by the question does it honor God? Every action either honors God or dishonors him to honor him as the definition of good,. To dishonor him is the definition of evil.
