Millions of US military emails have been misdirected to typo squatting domains. "I was surprised that someone had engaged a typo squatting campaign against the military," says John Avlon, an expert in computer security and hacking. He asks: What's the real damage? Can the military determine what kind of emails actually went to these typo squatting sites? If they're coming from external parties, like if I were to send a message to one of my boys at the Air Force, and I type old that, that email with the ML instead of MIL, then yeah, they wouldn't know that.
