The Reality of Getting Published

I think a lot of people can look at publishing as being that, that once you get the publishing contract, you won. But when it comes to nonfiction, especially in the Christian space, that hasn't been my experience. In fact, I know individuals who got publishing contracts after they finished, like they had the entire manuscript and this one publisher wanted to publish them. And for that person, having finished the manuscript, they just didn't want to keep on going.
