Kids Aren't as Attuned to How Someone Speaks
Kinsler: Kids are incredibly attentive to how somebody sounds. They're absorbing cultural messages about race, but they're not races away in life. Distinguishing based on sound is innate. Distinguish based on skin color is not. Even though systemic raceism is all around us, it's important to remember that it is learned. It is not pre programmed.
