The United States Government Needed to Go the Extra Mile to Secure Access to Resources of All Kinds
At the end of world war one, a kind of set of ideas emerged that states had to go the extra mile to secure access to resources. The common sense wisdom was that the united states government must do what it can to guarantee its supply of all these res ses. These were deeply rooted ideas of the 19 twenties, thirties, forties and fifties. But as i show on my book, no great power was able to guarantees their resources through colonies.
