Using New Eyes for Data Visualization
i challenge folks to use those new eyes that they have for graphs, not only to critiques. i think by being harsh critics of our own data visualizations, we really put our selves in a place where we can continue to refine them and ultimately make them successful. There was a recent article from u x planet on medium called the subtle art that differentiates good designers from great designers. This is one of those things that it's really easy to say, and incredibly hard to actually put into practice. When i've put together a date of visualization, i know where i want my audience to look.
