The Buddha and Dependent Awakening

Buddhism has led me on an active ongoing search both within and outside the boundaries of my own mind. When i don't feel them this is mean something is lacking in me do i lack faith if it wasn't until my early 20s when i encountered the teachings on dependent arising that i slowly began to find words that spoke directly to these questions. It turns out that i had adopted some unexamined assumptions about spirituality and doubts as i formally entered the Buddhist path I began to grapple with them first and foremost by observing a misunderstanding in myself which i have come to understand as a form of fundamentalism.
