The Role of Networks in the Brain
Cognitive neuroscience has identified some what we call canonical brain networks. These are the basic sort of network building blocks. We have a network for vision and network for hearing and network for moving our bodies. And then we've got these higher level networks that do things like attention. They're involved in encoding processing the outside world, which is where ego is encoded effectively.
