Love Isn't as Useful as Facts
She said she would dance with him to night if he brought her a rose. The scholar sneered, wow, you're n grateful. She was being as clear as she possibly could. She didn't like him in that way. He couldn't believe it. Ungrateful, he looked down at the flower and tossed it in thegutter. It wasn't as useful as facts. It doesn't tell you anything true, only making you believe what wasn't true. His love had bled and died for them both. And so did his heart.
