The Shift of Intention in Karma Yoga
The most basic way in which karma yoga shifts your intention towards action is the attitude of dedicating your actions to Yishvara. We generally, our intentions are generally selfish. Raga means I want something for me; Dweisha means I want to avoid something to avoid my pain and discomfort. So this Raga and Dweisha is fundamentally self-oriented. It's not taking care of somebody else's family. Even when you take care of your family, taking care ofyour family is not selfish, but it is self-oriented,. Why is it self-oriented? It's your family.
