The only way we're going to get through those difficulties is by breaking up the existing party system. I don't believe there is a progressive majority in Britain, and if there was, it's fragmenting. What there is is a majority against a society in which the market forces are untrammelled. The fact that support for the government dropped so steeply shows that this country- Well, there's weaker attachments to the parties, definitely.
