The Chainsaw Man Anime
The idea of negative emotions manifesting as like malevolent spirits is completely at home within Japanese superstition. The manga is past the halfway point and is set to conclude in 2023, I think. It's a very fun concept that they play with a lot. And that feels very chainsaw man, not just the fear thing, but just like how that feels like a creation based on an observation of humanity currently happening right now.
