Minimum Wage
Economists say raising minimum wage creates unemployment among the least skilled, least educated workers. Most people seem to think that roughly 30% of the American workforce makes minimum wage. It's like 1%. The highest I've ever seen it was 2.7 or some such thing. And you dig into that study a little bit and it included tipped workers who actually make less the minimum wage officially but who make well more the minimum wage when their tips are included.
