Is There a Huge Obstacle to a Successful Theory?

I think that the ways that economics will work best is if people are preoccupied with doing the right thing and thinking in this more long-term way. It could happen if awareness is raised about the benefits of acting in this way to the extent that everyone believed it was the case. And a moral education, right? That sounds so stuck up. I wish it played out. But we see regularly that there are economic theories that catch the imagination like modern monetary theory. We don't have too much time left because we actually have to go in a few minutes. So maybe... I need to close this somehow.
