The Future of Prohibition
I suspect that the net effect on humanity has probably been a net positive from the Internet and probably a large net positive. And so at least at this round of AI, I'm willing to roll it ice, see what happens and assume that if we're smart and if we're diligent and if we can improve our governance, which is a big question, particularly in the United States, we're very broken. No reason why we shouldn't see some net more net win than that negative from this next round.
