The Lion's Riding Is Satan's Attempt to Destroy Christians

In 1 Peter 5, 8, and 9, the lion's roar is roaring lion going about, trying to devour people. Satan puts it in the heart of people to betray Christians or to lie about Christians. He aims for that fear to destroy their faith. Therefore Peter does not say, oh, hum, God is sovereign. He says, be sober, be watchful, resist, resist, firm in your faith.
