In the early stages of an idea, just go to a stakeholder with a rough prototype. The most effective way of persuading people is for the person you want to persuade to convince himself of herself. Ifo present a polished prototype, others will only find flaws. When someone starts providing advice, the icefect will kick it and your idea will become that person's baby as well.
