In Africa, I find that there is a completely lack of imagination. There is a complete removal of the imaginative possibilities for us to even consider an African episteme. Each generation of political security must define its mission and fulfill it or betray it. We actually have dropped the ball. So this is it, Egyptians write for journals in U.S., Ghanaians do, South Africans do. What choice do we have? If you become good, you go somewhere over there. And so far as how do we respond then?
