Working at America's Test Kitchen - I Did Back-End IT Stuff
I think on one hand it was a good learning experience because I was able to try out a bunch of different roles first without having to take a full-time commitment. So I did back-end IT stuff and this is why I didn't want to major in it because I already know how to make cat 5 cables. But my favorite one that I took on as a contract gig was actually working at America's Test Kitchen, which they do like blind taste tests. It was the first time I got to work with Ruby on Rails and I was doing front-end. That really gave me a lot of confidence that I think I didn't have before learning to code.
