Selling a Used Car at Top Price Is a Win-Win Situation

I don't think shopping for a discount is generally the first order of business. I would rather pay an extra $500 or $1,000 more than what I could get otherwise in order to have a car where I know I'm not going to immediately be dropping thousands of dollars on mechanical service. This creates a win-win situation If somebody wants to sell the car and they want to sell it at top price, they're probably going to go through the hassle of marketing their vehicle. Most people who are selling cars in that high value, mid-range used car space aren't interested in dealing with that.
