Was It Always a Fraud?

Hedge fund manager John Hampton tipped Dan off to the fraud at Wirecard. The company was making 15, 20, 25% commission on transactions through some of its cards. It had bought a bunch of businesses all over Asia but they were lying about what it did. Some early short sellers got stopped out because there was a period where their share price tripled.
