The Buddha Never Knew That Which Is Untrue
Buddha said one should never knowingly speak a lie. We can so easily rationalize an untruth or a lie and tell ourselves that there is a good reason for it. But the Buddha is coming out very strongly in his statement, not for any reason at all. So critical is truthfulness to this path of awakening.
