Are We Naturally Adaptable?

The need to take care of offspring is greater than it is for other primates because of the abnormally sized head of our offspring. It always boggles me when I see a horse is born and within like five minutes it's walking around and looking like, you know, it's like the equivalent of being like a 10 year old human already. And we are just woefully helpless for years after birth. But the benefit is you get this giant brain and that can help you figure things out. Our nature is to adapt not only to our environment in terms of food and resources, but also to the society that we grow up in.
