Ruth: The Old Testament Story of God Working All Things Together for Good

Ruth is considered in most Hebrew Bibles to be part of what's called the five megaloth. These are books like Esther and Song of Songs and Ruth and Lamentations. Each of these, each of these five scrolls were associated with different Jewish festivals. And sometimes you can kind of figure out why theologically. I think the reason that Ruth is placed at Pentecost is because a lot of it has to do with harvest. It was a celebration of the, of the Granging harvest. So it kind of makes sense to read Ruth at that, at that particular festival.
