This was one of the first things the Christian church had to deal with. There were originally Christians who were Jewish and some thought that if you wanted to become a Christian, you needed to become circumcised and become a Jew. When certain Jewish Christians arrived, he drew back and started eating only with Jews. That's the equivalent of the US president sitting down at an integrated lunch counter and then switching and going to the whites only lunch counter instead. No, we don't have to give up our heritage as Jews or Greeks, but now we must love each other the way Christ wants us to.
