Why We're Starting to Do Longer Missions in Space
The study is the first of its kind. It says that space radiation so far for the normal amount of astronaut and astronaut do, you know, just an average amount of astronaut. Doesn't actually increase their risk of death from cancer. The reason we're starting to do these longer studies is because of these potential Mars missions like you were talking about. These longer term missions. And this is going to require humans and particularly NASA astronauts and researchers at first to spend longer and longer times in space.
