The Importance of Rationality in the Evolution of Human Life
I've really come to doubt in many respects basic human rationality. I think the drivers behind all of this as unlikely as it may sound, including the evolution of more complex and intelligent forms of life. It's whether we play our cards wisely from here on out that I think wasn't necessarily likely. And if you think about what are the big obstacles to the kind of global governance that you want or that you would say would be rationally desirable for an intelligent species, they don't get there because they're not fully rational in that sense.
