I would strive for students to seek out opportunities to learn. And through when there's a topic in a class that's presented by a professor, a faculty member, and instructor. I would encourage that student to meet with that faculty member in their office hours. It may be independent study or sponsored research project. But it requires some comfort with these soft skills we're talking about,. Such as communication, advanced planning of one's experience, time management, teamwork.
