How Does Failure Affect Attitude?

The brain is very good about learning from bad experiences. Failure affects both the neuro chemistry of the brain, and it affects attitude. If you play a game that puts you at a level where you experience success more than failure, a guarantee kids won't do well in school. Successful experiences activate the pre-cortex looking for the positive feelings associated with them. When these athletes tripped over a hurdle they felt like their brains were on fire. The same thing can happen to us if we don't get enough 'aha' moments when things go our way.
