With children, their cells are growing so quickly for us to go from being a tiny baby in our mother's belly to an adult. Sometimes the cells make an error when they're dividing, and if that error lets them grow faster than other cells, they outgrow the normal cells. So just these abnormal cells growing fast is what cancer is. In adults, it actually is a very different process by which they get cancer. But there are some things that we can do, whether we're children or adults, to help prevent cancer.
