The Probability of a Kicker's Success
A kicker has a 75 % chance of making a kick. That means, if i were going to make a prediction for this kicker at any given point of time, the probability that i would predict would just be point seven. Can we do better than that? And that's what logistic rogression is trying to do. In maximum likelihood, no matter what we're talking about, maximum likely to hear, maximum likelihood somewhere else.
