Is PG&E Ready to Address Fire Risk in Northern California?
In 2007, a devastating fire in San Diego ignited as a result of power line failure. The agency required the Southern California utilities to do more because fire has historically been more of a problem in Southern California. It didn't require PG&E to take the same steps because historically, fire risk hasn't been as high in Northern California. I think it was probably a missed opportunity to try to look forward and say if this continues to persist ... What does that mean for fire risk in Northern California?
