The Roman Government and Military System

The Roman Senate is going to sound really familiar. It is after all what the American system of government is actually based off of. But there were three major wars and of course as the name implies it was going up against the Samnites who were a group of very vicious southern Italians. Now in the end by the year 292 everything in Italy south of the rivers Arno and Rubicon were under Roman control except for a handful of city states known as Magna Gratia.
