i think, even from a practical sense, one of the most detrimental and harmful things about these is their lack of security. At some point it's probably going to happen that these devices are going to be leveraged to take down some portion, if not all, of the internet. So an old school buzzer or chime on my washing machine is just fine. It doesn't need to text me and tell me that the load is done rightly. That has not improved my call. I mean, i didn't set it up, but it would not improve the quality of my life. And so, i mean, it's a very poor long range thinking for a lot of reasons,.
