Is the Declaration of Independence Self Evident?
The founders of the U.S. did not say that all men are created equal, they said man is endowed by god with certain inalienable rights. But this is not evident to the unlearned, for they cannot grasp it. So we have now officially got into natural law, which is self evident in the sense that it is purely true and it is axiomatic. That's how you get human law, with the addition, of course, o divine law. All right, now we're really getting somewhere, eh? And this is, you can see why the people that love this stuff love it. And i'm one of the people that loves this stuff too.
