Judge Others Through the Lens of Your Own Self-Judgement
The point is not that they have to be flawless. It's that you're in no condition to help their flaws because you've got bigger flaws yourself. Jesus will do later when he meets with the woman taking an adultery. And he does not deny the moat that is in her eye. In fact, she's got a beam and it's still sticky in there. So what does he say to those that are ready to burn her by that beam? Check your own eyesight first. Judge her, fine, but judge her through the lens of your self-judgment.
