Even in the absence of aspirate, your bleeding risk increases as you get older. There was a 60 % odds ratio increase in gastro intestinal bleeding and a 30 % increased risk for intra cranial bleeding. The mortality rate can be as high as 70 % among those having intr cranial hemorrhages.
