KT Lee's Silicon Valley

KT Lee was an economics minister and then finance minister in Taiwan. In 1979, he oversaw the task force of STAG, aka the Science and Technology Advisory Group. They identified a very specific location to try and transform into the Taiwanese version of Silicon Valley. Qingjil Science Park is sometimes called the Silicon Valley of Taiwan.
