In 1995, South Africa was to host the World Cup of Rugby. We had been banned from the sport for many years because of the apartheid government. Nelson Mandela saw this as an opportunity to bring our country together. He threw his full force and support behind a mostly white rugby team. Beyond our wildest expectations, we made it to the final. And I was lucky enough to be in the stadium that day.
