There's such a thing as teaching intelligence, or pedagogy of the intelligence. And that's the capacity to teach something in ways which will work well for different kinds of students. A psychological experiment has just been done where it turns out that people are good at something, aren't necessarily being good teachers. So if you have somebody who's a very good synthesizer, you want to know whether they're a good teacher.
