The Importance of Working Environments in Family Doctors
There are some things that provincial governments have been actively doing to try to help the system keep going, as you put it. But what we really need in healthcare systems across the country is a real push from the government to consolidate our understanding of where people are at and where they have capacity to provide care. Not every provider is working 100% of the time 100%. We don't have any data that helps us guide how to help those people know where they can help at what time. And I think one of the reasons why we don't have this kind of create workarounds is because historically health providers just lean into this paradigm when it comes to family physicians or nurses or whomever is working
