There were movements here in barbados for a long time about the removal of certain symbols that, you know, tell a dark story of slavery. There was the removal of the lord nelson's statue, which, for about two decades, sat in our national hero square. He also apparently didn't even like barbatus, but of course, there were economic fortunes that he needed to protect as a naval captain.
