We're Going to Spend $23 Trillion a Just for Inflation
When it comes to poverty, generally speaking, that poverty level that we set in this country will adjust for inflation. And yet, despite the fact we spent $23 trillion a just for inflation,. Look, there's an alternative here. We could have cut a check to every poor person for $10,000 a year every year since 1967. By our own definitions, it would have completely eliminated poverty in this country.
